Arizona

We were looking for the perfect road trip before my daughter graduates from college, and Arizona/Utah did not disappoint!  These beautiful states surround its visitors with beauty at every turn.  Even the long stretches of road in between destinations were stunning.   Touched down in Phoenix and drove to Page, Arizona, which is rich in Navajo culture, food and people.   We spent the next few days in Page exploring Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend and the magnificent Antelope Canyon.  You are free to explore Horseshoe Bend without a group tour; however, you will have to arrange a tour to visit Antelope Canyon (www.antelopeslotcanyon.com)   This is a MUST!  If you are looking for a little more adventure, be sure to check out Lake Powell Jeep Tours (www.jeeplakepowell.com)  and ask for Mark!  He will get you "high in the sky" so you can get those awesome Instagram photos.  Also, Monument Valley, Bryce and Zion are approximately a two-hour drive from Page.  On our return to Phoenix we stopped in relaxing Sedona for two days.  There are several great hiking spots with acess points right in the heart of town.   If you are a foodie, Sedona is your place.   For a quaint and quiet dinner - great filet with truffle oil brussel sprouts (www.jwinebistro.com), best acai bowls ever (www.berrydivineacia.com), homemade chocolate scones (www.desertflour.com).  Arizona, we will be back!
