Hot Buttered Rum

Cool crisp evenings call for Hot Buttered Rum. This is a fan favorite to serve for your guests and will warm them from the inside out. These are fun to serve for Halloween or around a bonfire. I serve these with an assortment of sweet and salty warm nuts. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 stick salted butter

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar

RECIPE:

Cream butter with remaining ingredients. A tablespoon of the butter mixture to your mug. Add an ounce (or two) of rum and hot water. Stir until mixed well. Save the remaining ingredients for later use.

Options: For more flavor, add mulling spices. For a sweeter option, add a dollop of whipped cream and a cinnamon stick.
